TeamRealtreeHD Posted July 31, 2008 Author Report Posted July 31, 2008 I'll leave you guys go... I could tell alot of people here just don't want to hear about this problem anymore. Thanks everyone for your input over the last 2 weeks. No more posts on this subject Quote
okbeast Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Lol you seem quite disappointed, sucks that its happening but i've read nearly every post and everything i can possibly think of has been mentioned, and sounds like you've tried most of them. Hopefully the air leak is the issue. Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 1, 2008 Author Report Posted August 1, 2008 I thank you for trying to help, I really appreciate it. If it's not the TINY air leak we have, which it's a possibility, who knows. I doubt with the way it is running that that is the entire problem. I am going to to Maryland on Saturday to meet up with Butch (00tbanshee) at his place to swap parts out since he is running a 200 and he runs Kevin's motors. Quote
dragbanshee Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Yea I hope that air leak is the problem, man your going to have a lot of free time on your hands when you get this fixed. Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 1, 2008 Author Report Posted August 1, 2008 Yes... I can go back to living my normal, not so frustrated life. Quote
pabansheematt Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Yes... I can go back to living my normal, not so frustrated life. what air leak? Quote

TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 1, 2008 Author Report Posted August 1, 2008 what air leak? Between the intake and the built in crossover. It is an o-ring problem I believe.... but STILL not enough to cause this lag. I am putting my money on the reeds being pinched or cracked. Butch, once again, thanks alot. I'll keep in touch with you tomorrow. Maybe I won't even need to come down because I might just rip that intake off tomorrow and check the reeds out. But I still want to come down and have you do a few things to this to make sure. Quote
blanco25 Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Does anyone here think with my modifications in my signature written at the bottom of this post thin kthat 33 mm PWK carbs are too big, causing no low end.... I mean no bottom end at all whatsoever Its definately not your carbs. I have almost the same motor and i run 35 pwk. my timing is advanced at 8. Kevin builds top notch motors. I guarantee its going to be something stupid. the motor i got from kevin rips. Quote
blanco25 Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 (edited) I believe you got your intakes from boss correct on ebay? mine came sealed already in the packagewhen i got mine from them. Edited August 1, 2008 by blanco25 Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 1, 2008 Author Report Posted August 1, 2008 Good to hear blanco... everyone keeps telling me this, I have yet to feel the power I had on my 2 into 1 non ported setup. It ripped and now I am in shambles lol I have faith, it just wants to make you punch a whole in the thing when everything you try isn't working. Hopefully I didn't get a dud for a motor. That's not the problem though. Just have to check this leak out with new gaskets/o-rings and then if that's not the problem, Butch is going to get involved in this mess too lol I think we will get it going, I just need someone (and Butch is the man for the job) to swap parts with and someone who knows Kevin's motors close by. I think I can make it to his place in 1.5 hours if I drive my truck like I drive the banshee Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 1, 2008 Author Report Posted August 1, 2008 I believe you got your intakes from boss correct on ebay? mine came sealed already in the packagewhen i got mine from them. Yes... you wanted these fucking things too... I shoulda let you have them lol No, they were sealed as well. I don't think that's the problem, at least not the bigger problem. Quote
2strokespirit Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 The tiniest air leak can cause major jetting issues, if there is a air leak for real, after sealing it, you will have to go over the jetting again, you will not be able to jet it correct with the air leak, in fact the jetting will have no big influence between jet sizes if there is a air leak. One thing that caught my suspicion is reeds.. But it can be anything weird right now. Good luck!! Quote
