Yes, it is very wierd. I had a suzuki 250r and Honda 250r and never had these problems after assembling motors. It is being very stubborn... very stubborn

Thanks for the hopeful wishes, I am keeping the fingers crossed we can make this run like a monster.

hey i dont know if you found out your problem yet but i had a simmilar problem a while back and it turned out to be a bad stator. had an aftermarket ricky stator. i put a new stock stator, and pic up it was back to normal. had same simptoms took 4 or 5 sec to get into power band. sometimes it would just die

Found an airleak in the intake huh?? Well that would do it  That would certainly make the mixture on that side at least LEAN.... With all this testing hope you didnt hurt that motor  So, thats just wierd it took you that long to find that though, you said tried carb cleaner or something to check for that??? That usually works.

tony found that air leak and fixed that before he came to my house.it ran ok but just not right.i then checked somethings and found the pickup gap was way off and bumped the timming up.also we chaged the jets and gaped the plugs alittle different.it plan out rips now.he was very happy

What did you end up doing for for jetting. Glad to you got it going. It is very frustrating not having some thing running right.

The hubs are going out Monday lol...

I got Lonestars though, just need to get the bolts for them.

I currently have it at 160 mains, 50 pilots, CEL on 3rd clip, screw 1.5 turns out.

But will most likely drop to 158 mains and settle there.
