locogato11283 Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 welcome to the site man.. basically, its how much do you wanna spend. the mods you can do are endless.. here are a few common ones that will turn your banshee into a whole other machine. 1)aftermarket pipes..depends on your riding which kind you buy. 2)aftermarket reeds 3)aftermarket air filter..stock is junk. these are probably the 3 most common mods. they will offer you the most bang for your buck. give us a budget, and we can get you set up... also, im not sure what premix oil youre using, but klotz is a good oil to use. im guessing if you bought it brand new the stealership recommended yamalube.. well, that shit is junk. switch immediately.. Animalman294 Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Hope you have a fat wallet And a big bank account to re-fill it.................. Quote
RollinRhino Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Immediately strip off the stock Nerfs and fork out for some ACs or DG nerf bars. A metal radiator protector is a must. Replace the swing arm skid plate and get a solid Aluminum deal as soon as you can. Quote
LS1Inferno Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 You all left out the most imprortant thing TORS must go!!! Quote

LS1Inferno Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 and what's tors? Throttle OverRide System the big ugly things on top of the stock carbs. and has switchs on the e-brake and throttle. and a little black box above the left cylinder under the tank. Quote
ITALIABANSHEE Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 What kinds of jetting do you guys suggest if the bike only has a open box k&n filter and T5's. And also what do reeds do? Is that part of the exhaust or intake system. Thx fellas. G. Quote
Animalman294 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 You need to do a plug chop to see where the jetting is............... Quote
rubberneck Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 What kinds of jetting do you guys suggest if the bike only has a open box k&n filter and T5's. And also what do reeds do? Is that part of the exhaust or intake system. Thx fellas. G. I would start around 300-320 at sea level with that set up and do a plug chop. I ran a 290-300 at sea level with a foam filter with no lid Quote
jamebo Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 I'm around sea level and I run 300's with open box, K&N and Fatty pipes. Your reeds are between the carbs and the cylinders. Well, I actually run an EHS outerwears lid.... but it pulls air like an open box. Quote
ITALIABANSHEE Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 How about cool heads? Does it really make a difference or is it mainly for cooling. Thanks for the info fellas! Quote
