wacko2000 Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 I dont kno your elevation but I have 20-21 cc domes, dont remember which and I have 155psi in each cylinder... If you have never ridden a banshee before, you should start working out you biceps- triceps- shoulders. etc.... they quite often try to rip your arms off....lol I would start with some pipes- toomey or pro circuit both good pipes.. A good air filter and timing plate..It will really wake her up big time...I dont think you wll have a prob with the 450 unless he has some series mods... If that aint fast enough bump the compression and get that bitch ported.. o0o yea welcome to the HQ Quote

xsinnerx Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 if you want to run pump gas then go with 20 or 21 cc domes, get your bolt on mods first, which are the cool head, you have your reeds already, get a $35 ricky stator plate and advace your timing at +4, pipes, I dont think you can go wrong with t-5's unless you are looking for more of a bottom end pipe. You can find some good deals on here, ebay, planetsand, and everything2stroke, for almost all your mods, I would seriously look into buying used instead of retail unless you have lots of cash to spend. After you have all your bolt ons I would spend some cash on suspention, porting and so on. you should be fine with stock carbs with your bolt ons but once you port you will probably want bigger carb which need bigger manifolds, bigger filters, and with that extra power your maybe gonna want a longer swing arm, so that means new chain, different sprokets, lol you are gonna go broke, welcome to the HQ!!! jcbanshee Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 go with the toomeys and then advance your timing to 4+ Quote
cvbadass Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 You should beat most 450s with just some pipes, I also here that the vitos super stock pistons with a vitos hemi head would be a significant increase for about $500. I am ordering mine from vitos performance, I am in florida. also rockymountainatv.com, motosport.com. Quote
530grafix Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Ditch the airbox and go with pods and outerwears.. Quote
bansheeman1988 Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 First off welcome to your new home on the web, second, as everyone has made a good point above do the PC or T5 pipes, stator plate (cheaper than a whole new 250$$ CDI), K&N and remove that lid, Coolhead with about 20cc domes and you should see some damn noticable power!! 98'banshee Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 (edited) The absolute 1st mod anyone should tell you to do is pipes. I recomend toomeys, T-6's if you dont port it and T-5's if you do or arn't sure if you will in the future. With 155lbs of compression you may want to look into some Engine Ice instead of Antifreeze and maybe replace the stock impeller with an aluminum one. I personally HATE my Pod filter because you may run into some wet spots on the trail and would much rather have the airbox with the top removed. Welcome to BHQ and eventually to the banshee owner club where you never will have enough money to fill the bottomless pit of mods. You should be close to your buddy stock and it will take just pipes to kill him, if you start pulling some good power I also recomend going up a tooth on your front sprocket, and remember to lean forward when you launch hard cuz as soon as you hook in the power band you will be sorry if you dont.
