What Mods Go Next?

It's winter time so that means the bike gets some more goodies. What are your opinions on what should be done next. I was thinking reeds. My current mods are in my sig. :biggrin:

REEDS VF2's I like em more than the 3's, 30mm oko carbs from CWP(EBAY) 200 bux, Nice port and pollish, and it will come ALIVE!!!!! depending on the P/P cost is cheap $500 and thats on the high side, Then come A-Arms swinger round style..........after that its a money pit!! welcome to BANSHEE!

I agree with the above, Get yourselve a good port job, v-force reeds and bigger carbs and shee's gonna try and rip your arms off..

I just got my shee ported and its a night and day difference...

Would you do the port before the reeds and carbs or mix up that order? I've heard that the reeds don't increase hours power! Is that true? I feakin love this forum!!!

reeds dont add a whole lot of power. Gain lots of throttle response with reeds though.

If I were to start over again I would go for suspension before tearing in to the engine. A piped Banshee goes pretty good but already but the stock suspension blows.

V-force 3 reeds claim 2hp through the entire powerband, I like them because of the throttle response, really works on low end power also.

you can only go as fast as your suspension lets you... its great to have hp, but not much sense in having a bunch of hp and a stock suspension,

a piped banshee with decent suspension would KILL a 60+Hp stock suspended banshee through any terrain unless it was a paved road..and even then, when a corner comes up, bye bye

On a serious note. I dont know what a stock banshee handles like. Mine came with +2 arms, and works dual rate ressi shocks in the front, and a Round House Swinger, and a revalved rear shock.

i guess i shoulda have said paved roads or a drag strip, but if you drag on those huge dunes with all the whoops half way up, i couldnt imagine hittin them with stock suspension,

suspension THEN a port job. period.

 

Dont drag port your bike unless you tried riding a drag shee before. The powerband is shit for playing around. It's all or nothing.

 

Im ported and sure i love the huge power increase but w/o a smooth ride it isnt as enjoyable as it could be. You cant fly over whoops or bumpys stuff if your bike is bouncing all over the place.
