Man 2006 and shee is being rebuilt already...Did you buy this bike new?

If not some1 was riding the shit out that mofo...

My shee is a 00 and I just did the first rebuild...what is your elevation?

Before shee blew up did you do a plug chop after you added your mods?

Try to put your needle on the middle clip. I would start at a 320 main depending on your temp. Also make sure you have all bolts and manifolds sealed tightly, so there are no air leaks.

Since this appears to be a rebuilt top end, did you do

a leak down test on it before you started running it?

You could have had an air leak on the side that siezed.

Did you check your plugs any before it blew up?

Jetting sounds okay but, all bikes are different.

I started posting here in 2002 and always said to jet big.

I see people are still not doing it.

I run 370mains and 30 pilots in my Shee.

All I have is a cool head, 20cc domes, and a 2:1 intake.

Once you get it back together, start at 340 mains and see how it likes it.

if im correct it happened right after you took the lid off?

if thats the case you probably just blew it from running lean.

i would start with a few sizes bigger on the mains when shees back together and go from there

That what happen i think too topend was real shit then by the time i new it was seized lid was for about 5 8mins tops . so if i leave the lid on the jetting should be fine if its off what size main should i go up

cheers Ian

running to rich for long periods of time can really heat up warp your head and do some topend damage. If you can smell your Banshee getting to hot thats how you can tell. Or simply look at your plugs and always check for air leaks and lean jetting. Obviously that can do it too.
