shee rips Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 than im gonna say that the guy on the CRF couldnt ride. ive never even came close to losing to a bolt on banshee. every time i drag race some of my friends 450 quads, i can roll out, stand up, do wheelie and still destroy them. i just wanna know if anyone has beat one with a ported 4mill with stock jugs?? i guess theirs only one way to find out. that kinda sounds like the 450 had a shitty tire to me  it is almost embarassing to get your ass handed to you as bad as putting a bolt on banshee against even a stock 450 bike i would be impressed if you beat him with the 4 mil. i think it should be fairly close if you have traction Quote

RagunCajun Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 i still would put money on the crf450, especialy if my banshee was involved. My pos has problems shifting under wot Quote

sled Posted November 16, 2007 Author Report Posted November 16, 2007 what were the banshees mods?? Quote
Bansheeman1121 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 ll i can sat is a raced one of those new 250s and i didnt beat it by that much so id imagine a 450 would do me some damage Quote
HiRoller Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 The power to weight ratio advantage that a 250 2 stroke or 450F dirt bike has over a quad is almost 2:1. A quad would need 90+ hp to even be in the ball park. I used to take my CR250 to the dunes all the time and raced everything that moved. The quad will get the jump off the line but as soon as the bike starts to hook up its all over. Quote
olmick Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 ive never raced a 450, but i did race a crf 250r. those bikes run very well also but i did edge him out on a roll in 2nd.... also i raced a 97 xr 600 a few weeks ago and edged it out also, but not by much at all... and these runs were on pavement Quote
imgoodatwhatido Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 my shee outruns my buddies 04 KTM 520 ...not by much but i can beat him...i have nothin but a clean up port bored 40 over with 20cc domes an t5's? whas up with that? he races a b main on a KTM 450 hes a helluva rider Quote

That was just an estimate, I'm figuring a typical Banshee with a few bolt-ons at 45hp and 412 lbs vs. dirt bike at 45hp and 225 lbs. Quote
