chevy7398 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 sell them both and use the money to buy yourself a adjustable timing plate for 35 bucks, the reed spacers do nothing unless you have huge carbs and need to clear the throttle arm and the timing keys are prone to shearing off and causing major damage to your motor Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 unless you plan on putting in a bigger crank and some porting adding those larger carbs isnt needed. Quote
monster_energy06 Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 (edited) using stock motor and the spacers will be used for to clear mikuni 34mm flat slides the timming key shearing off thing... is that a common thing to hapen with that mod ??? Snopczynski Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Dont run the key, it will break and leave you stranded. Get a timing advance plate. Quote

You can get a good boss racing, white knuckle or other brand intake to clear the clutch arm. Plus they have a built in crossover tube so it cleans up the area around the carbs. Quote
kawiking Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 NO KEY !!! get the timing PLATE !!! Quote
