so my bike is good for about 1000feet

i did kinda tink that 500ft was kinda gay because thats the size of some poeples hill climbs

should i atleast be turning the fuel screws out or anything like that?

i well be mostly running at 4000ft ... so hardly ever at 3445ft

I live on a mtn. and do most of my riding at 3200-3800. When I ride in the valley with friends I just lower the needle clip a notch to richen' her up a little. I dought you would need to change jets unless needle clip is already at the top or bottem groove. This is a lot easier to do if the TORS is removed.

warbag i mostly ride up at sundre there are nice trails there and calgary is 3445 ft and sundre is 3700ft and plus 300 feet of a hill/dirtroad to get to trails

where do you ride?

I ride Mclean most of the time, and im not sure but i would think its higher than sundre.Never been to Sundre so i could be wrong.Let me know next time you guys go i`ll meet up with you guys.

yea i think mclean is higher but im not sure i think ill check

i wont be going out to sundre until the snow s all freakin gone because the trails can get super bad if its not dry

i only found one thing and it said mclean is about 2425 ft abve sea level?

is your bike jetted for calgary?

do you jet it for mclean

Well i would hate to see you burn up a brand new top end,so what i suggest is call what ever stealership you bought it from and find out what jets are in it now and see what they say as far as rejetting goes.Let me know and i`ll double check with my builder and see what he says cause you never know they might say its ok,but then again if you blow it up then they asume you`ll get them to rebuilt it.

ok i well call the stealership this weekend and PM you or something

BTW who is your builder and what does he do?

i just go on google to find the elevations i see and compare the results and there all the same

if anybody knows of a good elevation finding site let me know

well my dad says that we arnt going to rejet so i atleast wnt to know if i well be lean or rich?

beinga little rich is better than being a little lean correct?

rich means more fuel/oil and lean means less fuel/o

u dont have to rejet for fucking 500ft!!!!!!!! whatthefuck, stock is 220! shoot for a 300-320 main- im running a 260 main at sea to 1000ft with pipes and open filters

if i had to rejet for 500 ft, i'd have to stop along the trails and change my jetting all the time. we're not a bunch of flatlanders here in pa and it's nothing to have elevation changes of alot more than that while riding. i wouldn't worry about it.

not sure what my jetting is, i have sst's and a k&n. it runs great at sea level and on almost every ride im up to 1000 feet and can hardly tell a difference in power output. ive had it up over 3000 feet with no problems either. here on vancouver island if i rejetted every 500 feet that would be a couple times on even a short ride. if ur plugs look good i wouldnt worry about it
