blueboy22 Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 the white in your plastic is called stressing from bends, i've heard if you take a blow dryer on high with heat it'll take the stressing color out, haven't tried it my self but i hope this helps you! Quote
BigRed350x Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Heat gun or blow dryer will return the original color. Quote

dandan Posted February 26, 2007 Author Report Posted February 26, 2007 do i need to apply the heat from inside or directly to the outside?? thanks for the tips guys Quote
bigboybanshee Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Take the heat gun, turn it on and hold it a few inches away from the white mark. After a few seconds, you'll see the plastics start to blend the blue into the white stress mark. Use a sweeping motion and be sure not to hold it in one spot for too long, or you'll melt the plastic. It's not hard at all, and does make a noticeable difference. You may not be able to get them all out, but should be able to make them less obvious. Quote

The blue factory plastics are probably the worst offenders for getting these stress marks. They always look like hell from them. Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 be carefull though cause the stress marks come back REALLY easy after you heat them up to go away. maybe get some rear fender supports off of fleabay Quote
