Pipe Explanations

Hey, I just want to try and make it easier for people to figure out which pipe is best for them. I just feel that there are way to many topics based on "Which pipe to get". I tried to list as many pipes as I could find, but if I missed any, or maybe got the Power area or the what kind of engine its for wrong just tell me. Hope this helps!

 

 

All Pipes Listed Are Small Bore Pipes.

The Order Goes as Follows:

BRAND - NAME ~ POWER AREA > (WHAT KIND OF ENGINE ITS FOR)

 

In Frame Pipes

FMF - Fatty ~ All Round > (best suited for a stock/semi stock motor)

FMF - SST ~ Mid/High > (best suited motor built for high end power)

FMF - Gnarly ~ Low > (best suited for a motor built for low end power)

Toomey - T5 ~ All Round > (best suited for a ported motor)

Paul Turner - High Rev ~ Mid/High > (best suited motor built for high end power)

Paul Turner - Midrange ~ All Round > (best suited for a semi stock motor)

DMC - Alien ~ All Round > (best suited for a stock/semi stock motor)

DMC - 916 ~ All Round > (best suited for a stock/semi stock motor)

Not bad, the fmf ssts are more of an all around for the stock motor. The fatty's are more of a mid/high and better suited for built motors....

Good post. Maybe you could even get some number ranks in there like on a scale of 1-10 or something. That might be to technical. Maybe get pics and links up for the pipes too.

Yeah I was thinking about adding both of those ideas as well, I could do the pictures but the 1-10 may be a bit hard and many people may object. I am hoping to get this pinned once all the bugs are worked out. Once its good I will probably re-post this in its finished form.

 

And the FMF Fatty and FMF SST thing I talked to some outside sources and what I put is correct, it even says on there website, so I don't think I am going to change those around unless I have some proof.

Nah, they work fine on mostly stock motors.

List looks good to me! :thumbsup: some pics would be cool to add, I would say fawk the scale, nobody is every gonna agree on it. I didn;t know DG still made the National Pipes, I've never seen a set, or even heard anyone talk about them? :shrug:

Might want to add Trinity pipes, Bills pipes(if they still make them), and Rocket pipes. Just a thought, FMF used to make high rev pipes, can't remember the name of them, you still run into them every now and then though.

I think they were literally called FMF Hi Rev's. They don't make them anymore, but I have heard they were good pipes. I may need to find an excuse to run a set some time. :thumbsup:
