:shoothead: Monday night i purchased a 06 shee from a local yamaha dealer. took it home and went on a breakin ride. bike started fine ran for a few minutes then died, let it sit for a few minutes then started and died again. thought it was a fuel delivery problem...it turned out that the dealer filled it with straight gas, and it gets worse they also put 2 stroke oil in the coolant resivoir. Any way got a new bike today told them that i would mix my own fuel, and the tight wads wouldnt even comp me a gas can.... :: :: ::

Yea stealerships are retarded.The day I bought my shee they wanted 699 for t5s and told me that they are the best "DRAG PIPE".To bad my neighbor believed them and bought t6s for 799 instaled with a "FREE AIR FILTER". :: Not to mention the fact that stock banshees do "90" out the box.

shit im glad you got a new bike out of the deal and they didnt try to screw you on that. the dealer i bought my shee from told me to be sure to change the oil and filter after the first couple tanks of gas. i agree they need to get a little product knowledge on what there selling

i opted to have my oil injection tank to not be installed on my shee. i premix all my fuels.........

I wonder what they are going to do to the one they messed up? 2 guesses ya only need one. Morons, I bet it was looked at as no big deal they are all probably laughing and one guy comes in the back and says thats ok I usualy clean out air filters by sticking them in the bikes gas tank to save money. I expect nothing less from our fine Yamaha dealers.

i have too say not all dealers are idiots my local one sucks but theres one about three hours away that rocks just sucks that its so far away.some dealers realy try to take care of there customers.and i went there when i bought my grizzley

I guess I got lucky with the dealership i bought my shee at... started out wanting a raptor but he talked me into buying a banshee, since then i have gotten nothing but good advice from him about my bike.. i guess it helps when they hire Experts to help sell bikes, and it also helps that he has 3 banshees of his own...

The dealership in my area has been selling Quads for 20 years and still claim they lose money on every sale. I don't know about you but nothing pisses me off more than listening to a salesman SHOVEL BULL and whine about how they get taken advantage of!!! Maybe this is how the salesman should dress!!!

hmm thats weird. ive been putting straight gas in mine now for several weeks with no problems.. :shrug:
