sand rocket Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 anyone running pc on there wheels. I can find a 8x8 wheel in black. so was thinking about pc a set of polished ones. How well do they hold up after running in the sand? Quote
okbeast Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I had some PC'd on my 400ex and they held up well until I went to ride at an area with rocky trails and somehow gouged one of the rear ones a little bit. Otherwise they seemed to hold up well. Quote
[email protected] Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 pc will hold up better then paint. good thread though i wonderd about pc'ing rims Quote
kaotik1 Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I like the way they look, I will be doing the set I have very soon. I have one that I did some time back and will post a picture of it, when I get to the shop later this week. Quote
SoCalinIt Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 PC will work well for the sand. Here Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I bought & run Black PC for Sand & they're fine. No scratches at all. I think the ideal thing to do is buy some used rims & send out to the powdercoater. I have a friend who has coated two sets & uses for the rocky trails. No scratches or chips!! Quote
jbooker82 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 ITP's Black Baja Beadlock look a like wheels would look sweet with the outer ring polished. Quote
kaotik1 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 The pictures do nothing for the wheels themself. In person when you look at them you see right through the color to the polished wheel it's crazy. Quote
tmac20031 Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 how do prices run for powdering all four rims? do u know? Quote
kaotik1 Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 For us they are about 25 a wheel, in single colors. The trans colors are more 40 due to two runs. Quote
okbeast Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 I got 4 wheels done for $85 and that was with prep work. I've found another guy that'll do it for around $50 tho. Quote
