I just saw on the net what is the recommended oil/gas ratio from Yamaha for a stock Banshee with Yamahalube, 24:1. So is 32:1 is going to do any hurt on a stock engine??

thank you

No 32:1 is fine for a stock engine, it will run better.

Alright, good to know. One more question, what kind of oil will be a good choice?? i start with yamahalube R2 because it look like logic and where i live there is not a big aftermarket buisness. So what is your recommendation for a main stream brand of oil??

thanx guys

I'm new to shees but i have a very good mechanic and for 2 months

i've been running Bel-Ray MC1 @ 50:1 as per my mechanics advise

although reading what everyone else is saying I should probably change

to 40:1

I also thought Yamalube would be the practical choice. WRONG!!! It's very very smokey!! Too smokey. I now run Super M @ 32:1 & prob try Amsoil's next time.

Just get a brand and stick to it.................

If you want to get a poll going of the major three to five brands (Klotz, Amsoil, Redline, Yamalube, H1R etc.) and find out what the consensus is on that brand for ratio. And they are usually pretty consistant............
