3 Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 I just saw on the net what is the recommended oil/gas ratio from Yamaha for a stock Banshee with Yamahalube, 24:1. So is 32:1 is going to do any hurt on a stock engine?? thank you Quote
Dinner Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 No 32:1 is fine for a stock engine, it will run better. Quote
Animalman294 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 40:1! Loco you always were a rebel................. :yelrotflmao: Quote
3 Posted September 12, 2006 Author Report Posted September 12, 2006 Alright, good to know. One more question, what kind of oil will be a good choice?? i start with yamahalube R2 because it look like logic and where i live there is not a big aftermarket buisness. So what is your recommendation for a main stream brand of oil?? thanx guys Quote
Dinner Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 The two best that are everyone is running on here is Probably Klotz and Amsoil :thumb: Quote
flyingkermit Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 The two best that are everyone is running on here is Probably Klotz and Amsoil :thumb: I'm new to shees but i have a very good mechanic and for 2 months i've been running Bel-Ray MC1 @ 50:1 as per my mechanics advise although reading what everyone else is saying I should probably change to 40:1 Quote

flyingkermit Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Amsoil 50:1 :thumb: Glad to see someone else running 50:1 still not sure runs like a rapped ape though  Quote
headsup Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 I just saw on the net what is the recommended oil/gas ratio from Yamaha for a stock Banshee with Yamahalube, 24:1. So is 32:1 is going to do any hurt on a stock engine?? thank you [on my 06 the dealer told me 40-1, thats what i run.] Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 Klotz 40:1 also.. best thing out there Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 (edited) I also thought Yamalube would be the practical choice. WRONG!!! It's very very smokey!! Too smokey. I now run Super M @ 32:1 & prob try Amsoil's next time. Edited September 28, 2006 by Climb Any Hill You Point At!! Quote
firefighterjosh Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 I would go 32:1 with Yamalube. I don't see why ppl run there oil so lean? What is the point? Unless you have a very highly modified engine. Quote
Animalman294 Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 Just get a brand and stick to it................. If you want to get a poll going of the major three to five brands (Klotz, Amsoil, Redline, Yamalube, H1R etc.) and find out what the consensus is on that brand for ratio. And they are usually pretty consistant............ Quote
