sheefreak
There are some great teardrop ones. They make those for the people that don't have to take their swingarm off. TM Designworks has a real nice chain slide.
Cotton eyed Joe
I'd take a slider over a roller anyday. I've had to make a few rollers in a pinch, and when the sand gobs them up and they stop spinning, the chain grinds them down to nothing in a hurry. The sliders have enough surface area on them that this doesn't happen, and you never have to worry about if the damn thing is working right or not. PUSH THE THROTTLE
I run the chain slider and like it alot. Check out UPP sliders, I got the kit from Magic Racing that had both rollers, and the front and rear sliders for $65.
knight_ripper
I second the UPP setup. You can get the banshee kit and it has all rollers and sliders for around 80 I thought. and you can get it from them in any color.
jprog7
How long do the chain slides last? Because I just replaced my roller for $5. I don't know if I could justify spending $30 for a slide when I could get 6 rollers for the same price.
DIRTMAN350
I wouldn't take a chance and the roller quit turning and possibly ruining your chain. Plus that means you have to work 6 tims harder. Just put a slider on and don't have to worry about roller giving you fits.

To replace the stock swingarm "roller" (I think Yamaha actually calls it a guard) you have to remove the stock swinger. That alone is worth the extra money. The other rollers are a dime a dozen and quick to replace, plus they are about the same price for Yamaha replacements or UPP or others.
