Wicked98Shee Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 was at the local shop i deal with today the service manager is a good friend .. we where talking about pipes bluing, he showed me a bottle of cream called " bluejob " this is for pipes bluing as to mother's is to aluiminum .. he used it just like mothers for aluminum, it straight took the blue off leaving a nice golden color .... it works great but its pricey .. 22.00 for a lil jar like 2 or 3 onces .... just another solution to the same 'ol problem Quote
Hulio-mv Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 i have had two sets of pc and a set of t5 one set of pc and the t5 turned blue and the other pc didnt all on the same shee with no changes other than the silencers on the pcs Quote
chris642 Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 SOS pads are great for cleaning pipes or prett much anything. I always have used SOS pads on my dirtbike pipes, it takes off rust and all the grease, my banshee pipes are cleaned after EVERY ride so they never get caked in dirt and rust. My T5's are still perfect and my banshee is way rich, i ride it pretty often so maybe im just lucky or some unkown reason. All the dirtbike pipes are nickle coated, i never seen a single dirtbike pipe blue now that i think about it(besides the works finish) Quote

ellison445 Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 You cheap bastard Coat all that chrome and billet you got going, that way I can finally look at your bike without taking out my credit card You saying I'm cheap because I use SOS pads? I think you picked the wrong person to call that... SOS pads on chrome works extremely well without scratching it. I have used them on all my chrome parts and have had nothing but excellent results. Have you ever thought about looking on the flip side of that coin? What's the point of spending a bunch of money on something when you can get the job done for less??? Then you can spend the money you saved on other mods I'd much rather spend a few bucks and put an SOS pad to my bike than spend another couple hundred bucks to put that dull ass coating on my 500 dollar chrome toomey pipes... 500168[/snapback] Quote
