  4. yeah, that's what i thought at first. did i mention it took a shitload of elbow grease. I also used a wheel and tire brush. it's a lot like a sos pad with a handle. a whole lot of type movements. oh well, i know this was the magic goop in my case. later, bill
  5. if they are not sold, please tell me what type of riding they are set up for, and if they were set up for +2+1 arms or not. cash in hand. later, bill

  11. you might be right there. good point. wish i could get some measurments off those cascade bars. as far as fasst flex bars. no way i'm spending 300 beans on a set of bars. what do ya'll think about pro taper hi bend atv bars with a set of risers on em? kinda want to get it right the first time.
  12. stay away from stock screws. just get yourself the stainless allen head set for both covers and be done with it.
  13. if they're good and stripped just drill the head off, take off the cover, turn headless screws out with vise grips. on a side note, i bought a cordless impact gun (rigid). best investment i've ever made.
  14. mine's around 2 turns out. what pilot are you running? what do the plugs look like at idle?
  15. looking to buy some new bars. looked at the cascade bars but not sure if that's what i want. pretty much just looking for bars with the most rise, width, and pullback. keep in mind that i roll the bike at least once on every ride. but i'd rather not bend the stem or frame at the same time. thanks in advance fellas, bill
  16. i run sandstars all the way around on 10" wheels. the tires are great at silver lake. no complaints here. you won't be disappointed.
  17. most of the time they won't hassle you over dB's i've been check at 97 with some gangsta old fmf's. 93 is the limit but if you're close you're straight. sparky's are 100% required. it's silly, but it's the rule. do you have older fmf silencers or powercores? might have a set of sparkys if they're older. see 400ex's all the time out there. most with pipes. they don't seem to hassle the 4pokes as much as the screamers. actually, think i saw as many predaturds as banshees opening weekend. bill
  18. with a retail price of 5 grand i'll pass. too rich for my blood. it is a nifty little deal though. http://www.expeditionswest.com/equipment/a...mping_jack.html
  19. good point. although i've seen some real youngins out there. i thought michigan determined what displacement you could ride at a given age under 16. something like nothing bigger than 150cc under 16.
  20. you can buy the orv and state park stickers at the gate. if you go on a weekend or holiday, you have to get a voucher the night before or you don't ride. if you go on a random weekday than you just show up, buy your stickers and ride your little heart out. it kinda sucks but it's a small place with limited parking so it's the only fair way. if you stay in town you can tow quads in with a truck as long as they aren't running, but all vehicles must be "dune ready" (flag, ORV, state park pass). I've seen them let up to 3-4 bikes tow in on holidays. usually two is the limit. Dune Ready vouchers still need to be obtained the night before, but there is usually little to no line to get dune ready vouchers. Trailer vouchers are a bitch to get but you do what you gotta do. you need a new voucher every day you ride, and you will still wait in a decent line in the morning. bill
  21. if you bore to 80 over stock you have just murdered those jugs. the next rebuild you will have to buy new cylinders or resleeve. you want the guy/place that bores your cylinders to go up to the next biggest size. which if your stock, you would go to 10 over. as long as your jugs are not scored too badly. again wait till you take your jugs in and they should tell you the size they NEED to bore it to. you aren't going to make your bike any faster by boring 80 over. you will however kill the life of those cylinders in one stupid move. most builders will sell you a topend kit when they bore and hone. bill
