Bc34c
I have done topends on both of my banshee's but both times i had the motors pulled out. This time I don't need to rebuild the crank, so I was wondering if there is enough room to do the top end without pulling motor out?? Any tips or suggestions ? I'll be tackling this project this weekend so I can be ready for silver lake the next weekend. thks for any help BC

Bc34c
thanks for the good news guys... I figured I'd get a good story about someone doing there top end in the silver lake parking lot or something..LOL ok I'm off to do the toughest part of this task..moving enough of my wife's shit in the garage to find a space big enough to fit the banshee in....then dig the snowmobile trailer out of the snow bank and try to get the banshee into the garage. man I'm tired already.... .
yeah....make sure you get all the dirt and crap off of all the wires that are going to be hanging right above the engine.....thats the easiest place for dirt to hide, and the easiest place for it to come from to fall down into the bottom end. as soon as you get the cylinders off stuff some clean rags around the connecting rods and you should be good to go

80overShee
HAHAH, I pulled my top end in the Silver Lake parking lot!!!! I break more stuff there than anywhere else combined. On the 4th of July a bunch of us went up there for a 3 day weekend. I shattered my clutch in the first 3 hours of riding. Totally shredded it. Clutch disc pieces ended up in the tranny gears. Had to wait 2 full days to get it home to do a quality rebuild. Took some NICE pics there though. Heck, check em out. If you where there, I got you, I almost guarantee it. All I did was take pics and fry in the sun. Silver Lake Trips pics
