I talked to a couple different people and no one had the domes I needed or got back to me over email except Patriot racing. They got back to me like 2 hours after I sent them an email. Awesome service. Just wanted to say thanks to them and recommend them to anyone looking for custom parts.

Jeff at F.A.S.T. was quick to respond as well, but didn't have what I needed in stock. Thanks to him for his quick replies as well.

If you look at their website, it states email is the best way to get ahold of them. The fact that they don't answer the phone is usually a good thing. You can also jump over to PS and PM Backcountry. Dan is doing some work for me, and always returns my PM's within a few hours. He is very busy though, so there will be some turn around time.

i dont think i would consider it a good thing i did leave them a few messages with my name number exc.and never got a call back. I could see email bein easier becuase of not havn to deal with all the customer BS, but they could atleast return my call.

Yeah, I understand what you mean, I have never tried to call him. The fact that he is too busy to answer his phone would usually mean people like his work, but I also understand your desire for customer service. Builds a real sweet motor though! :bolt:

Ive tried calling him before when I was buying my cub setup and hardly ever got ahold of him. Sending him a pm on planetsand or emailing him I always got a response within a few hours.

Well, I guess a PM is the way to go. Always plenty of other good builders to choose from. This is a reason people should really shop around before they choose a builder. I myself don't mind communicating through PM as we are both short and to the point. I knew what I wanted for the Money and he did exactly that no questions asked, where some people want to ask more questions and communicate back and forth.

Dan is a great builder, but also a one man show.

He is small and seems to like it that way.

Phone calls are not a good choice to reach him by, especially during sled season.

I had a motor built by him and only talked to him on the phone once. Email and/or PM was always the best way to talk to him.

If it says anything about the guy, his emails always came around 1:00 a.m.

I'm not defending the guy, he doesn't really need defending and his work speaks for it's self.

You got that right.

Being in the machining business, with only 2 people in the shop, phone calls just take up too much time some days. Email is so much better being I can reply when I get to it, rather than talk on a phone in the middle of a job that needs 100% of my attention, that someone is paying me to do.

I'd expect nothing more from someone else in a small busy business.

As soon as I have the cash, I plan on sending some work his way.

I've met Dan in person... not only did he go the extra mile while building my cubby he even took the time to help tune it. He also is very good about providing service after the sale too. I've had questions for him about my motor and tuning and he still gets back to me quickly even though there is no sale to be made and he' s got the money...

Highly recommend Dan...
