Golden Spectro at 48:1, 40%/60% Trick 116 w/premium. Like others have said, run what your oil manufacturer suggests based on riding conditions. They've tested it to those specs. Remember you only need just enough oil to lube the bearings, bores etc. no more, no less.

I run Lucas semi-synth 32:1 in my shee. I've run it for years with no problems in my dirtbikes, quads and goped. It's also fairly inexpensive. In my sleds I always run amsoil..they like the full synth better

i rebuilt a banshee today i used 8oz of yamalube 2R to one gallon of regular unleaded for break in but after that i use like 4-6oz to a gallon of gas :)

i've heard a lot of people say that they run a 32:1 mixture, is this a safe thing to do,  i am new to banshee's and i dont want to lean it out too much and blow it up. right now i run it 24:1 like the manufacture sugests.

24:1 is more lean then 32:1 ( more oil less feul)

I run 32:1 since I do alot of full throttle riding on the open trails.

I now run Av gas with Maxima Castor 927. 40 to1

For the first year when the bike was stock, I ran yamalube at 32 to 1 on pump gas. When I tore down the motor for the rebuild, it looked new!

i've only used yamalube 2r. 24:1 is pretty rich and mostly used for the break-in. shee seemed to be really smokin and i literally had oil dripping from my tail pipes. once broken in well, i switched to 32:1 and have been mixing that since. very slight smoking, but it is a 2 stroke after all, right? it's never caused any issues so why risk going too lean and locking her up :confused:B)
