400rednEX
how many cans of paint would it take to paint the front and rear fenders, top and bottom?
Robobanshee
4 cans should do the job for the whole bike, fenders and tank plastic. Make sure find a primer that is plastic friendly too. If the primer doesn't allow for flexing like the fusion then you're wasting your $$$$
Gargamel
your wasting $$$$ they will look good till your first ride then look bad and get worse with every ride. IMO it's better to just get plastics the color you want

Unless your banshee is a trailer queen, the paint is going to start chipping away the first time you ride/wash it if you use spray paint. You can paint your fenders and do it successfully, but you won't get the desired results from rattle can paint. It's best to either buy fenders in the color you want or have the plastics thoroughly cleaned, prepped, and painted with high quality materials that have flex agents in them. FasterThanU90
i bought sum Krylon plastic paint and sum high gloss for my stator cover do u think it will work?
Bansh88
I primed and painted my grill shroud 3 years ago with Krylon. Has held up in Glamis Sandblast ever since. You can get away with rattle canning the front plastics if you dont have front fenders anymore. Rear plastics? Thats gonna be tough with all the flex and boot scrapes. Go for it! Better to try $20 in spray paint than $300 in plastic. PRIME IT though.
1000dollabill
you would definately be wasting your time and money. been there done that. if you do it anyway, carefull with your primer. the fusion has a lot more thinning agent in it than regular paint. so it is possible to lift the primer with the fusion. definately use a test material first. it would probably be easier to buy the color you want and sell your plastics. Bansh88
Don't even use that fusion. That's for quick jobs round the house and patio. Bumper Paint works good
bansheeryder_69
take some sand paper to the plastic and the krylon should stick no prob
04ShEeLE
If you use the fusion, don't use a primer. Make sure you sand it down and clean it really well, and the paint will stick just fine.

J12480
It works heres the proof. 8 desert trips and washed afterwards everytime. No chipping or flaking! Its all in the prep work. Clean plastics good and use a light sand paper. No primer needed! I did two coats. Four cans bottom and top. Id rather spend a little money and not worry about scratches then alot of money and shit a brick the first time I scratch it! My ride has seen everything from the colorado rockies to texas cow shit and of course the glamis desert. It works. I also did my stator cover and havent had any problems yet. BigRed350x
I painted my plastics with rhino-lining. You can beat the shit out of it and it doesn't care.
