I read every post I could find with 21cc in it and I'm still not sure. I'm at 500ft. with 21cc domes. I bought an adjustable timing plate. If I go +4 do I need to go up to 22cc domes to keep running pump gas? Sorry to add to the list of dome size threads, just don't want to ruin my new pro lites.

EDIT: I'm still on stock porting too.

Im in exactly the same situation as you. I decided though, that since its close, I'll go ahead and start running av gas anyways. Only 4.25 a gallon here, and vp 110 is 7 or 8 a gallon. Plus if you mix, it works out to being only a dollar more per gallon than pump gas. The way I see it, I think you could probably get away with it if you're jetting is perfect. But if you're a little lean, that could add enough heat that you might have some problems.

But it would be nice to be able to run pump gas.

I run 21cc domes with my timing advanced and Vito's SS pistons at sealevel (no porting) on pump gas (91 octane). I have about 150 - 155 lbs of compression so its getting close - I usually dump a little octane booster in

I read something on that octane booster that said when they state it goes up 10 octane points it actually works out to .1 or something like that. I've got a buddy that used to work a refinery, I'll have to see what he says about it.

You should be fine on pump gas, if you're nervous you could always mix in a little race gas to bump the octane up a few points. No need to run straight race gas though, at most I'd say a gallon or 2 of race gas to every 5 gallon can.

Dont need it? Cant you feel the pull from race gas? I sure can. U can see my sig...Im same boat as you guys. Bout to put on the plate and was wondering the same thing. I always mix 50-50 tho...just cuz I like the pull...and the smell...lol.

Sonocco I think its called, is 110 also, and is wayy cheaper than VP if you can find it around you.
