98twin350
if it sits for a while in the winter 4-5 kicks, once its warm first kick every time, it can sit for hours and then one kick start. in the spring summer and fall for a first start its usually 2 or 3, my brother has the same problem your having, he has fattys and a lightened flywheel, high output stator and boost bottle, if you figure out what the problem is lemme know. thanks. cloeter
Check the magneto, if you wash your bike, after washing it take it for a spin around the block just to dry it up, it could be that the magneto rusts up.
Cannon
If mine has not been started for a week or so it is hard to start too. What works well for me is to turn on the gas, kick it over a couple of times with the switch & choke off. Then turn the switch on, pull out the choke and it always starts on first or second kick. phxrider
I have an 01, and it takes me 4-5 kicks when it's been sitting around a while. But once it's warm, it starts up with 1-2 kicks. After ridding for a while, 1 kick does the job most of the time.
MYquadsFaster
my shee starts 1st kick no matter how long, i leave the gas on for a minute tho and shake it around a lil.......12;1 compression dont hurt either on a fresh rebuild
1996yfs200
mine usually starts first kick. if not, its the second. i just love it when its been sitting and all you do is kick it once and she just starts up like you had it on a couple minutes ago
hittintrees srh
since i got my lectrons, shee starts on the first kick about 95% of the time-but when its cold, it take a good 3-4 kicks to get er' done.

Banshee~
In oklahoma in the summer it is hot most days so 1-2 kicks. In the winter and fall the weather changes all the time and it takes 3-6 kicks.
banshee223
first kick with the choke on every time
phxrider
After they sit a while it can be common not to start easy, when it does this rock your shee side to side while standing on the foot pegs holding the handlebars. Rock it enough that the tires come off the ground. It might look stupid but trust me it works. It atomises(if I spelled that right) the fuel. 465867[/snapback] TOO FUNNY MAN! I tried this yesterday on my shee, and it worked I turned the gas on for about 30 minutes, kicked it once.....nothing, then rocked it for a little bit and it started right up with the choke on.......
