Bansheeduner02 Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 Alright so i blew my top end this past trip so now i have to get it bored .40 over. im going to get the 5mm stroker crank that has a 4mm longer stroke with 65mm pistons. im getting a stage 4 porting from trinity and i was wondering if i would need to change my jetting or get bigger carbs. im running 300 mains right now and stock bore with 20cc domes im running 140 psi in both cylinders. what do you think the best way to go is? bigger jets or just some 33 or 35 pkw's? BigRed350x Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 s e a r c h Have you talked to other builders out there other than trinity? Quote
99Banshee Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 (edited) Id get bigger carb's... just to have the choice of having more gas if you need it.. + with it stroked and what ever your going to want something that can provide the fuel... you can get a pritty good deal on carbs new on ebay// Edited January 24, 2006 by 99Banshee Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 you can keep stock carbs but it will not run to its full potential. have you discussed this stuff with trinity? these are all questions you should ask them and see what they say. personally, id ditch the whole trinity thing and go somewhere else.. Bansheeduner02 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Report Posted January 25, 2006 but if i keep the stock carbs will it run lean? what jetting in the stockers should i use? itll save me a whole lot if i can keep the stock ones. Quote
shanYE west Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Loco said it best, your motor builder will (should) be able to tell you the pro's and con's of each set-up. I had a bad experience with Trinity... I'm not going into details but I wont give them my business. Quote
helldriver Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 not for nothin here BUT whats the deal dissin on Trinity? is it beacuse they dont have ad space here on BHQ, or maybe because its not someone friend in a gargae shop that is doing the work? i can see they are little expensive than others,,but i highy doubt there work is bad,, otherwise they wouldnt be where they are, just wanna know what gives, and gimme some answers other than the usuall, they suck and are expensive stuff Quote
banshee tuner Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 There has been a lot on here about poor customer service in the past and the little bit of dealings I've had with them no one over there has a clue what's going on that you talk with on the phone. Maybe if you visit them in person things are different but I don't live in Cali. Quote

Ad space here=cheap, Ad space in Dirt Wheels=expensive. Who do you think pays for that? Trinity, in my opinion, SUCKS. That's just my opinion, PM me if you want the facts. I will not post them here because they did it to a friend, if they had done it to me I would for sure post them. Deal with one of the smaller builders and know who is doing the work. Or deal with Trinity and possibly have some high school kid with a port map go to town. Or pay $450 to have an MX port job done on a set of Cheetahs with no grind marks what so ever. My advice is go to who ever" isn't" Trinity. Quote
