Bansheeo831o
Hey guys, so I've been fighting this issue since the shee was new. I ride strictly dunes on the Oregon Coast. Currently I am setup with FMF SST pipes, dual k&n's, +4 timing, with 12/44 gearing and 22'' tall 8 paddle taller hallers. I love the low end the bike has and its great for drags, etc. but no matter what I do I cant grab sixth. Any advice would help..im kinda at a loss now that ive lowered my gearing all the way down to a 12. Thanks guys
23champ
Without any porting its gonna have hella time pullin 6th in the sand. Sand puts a hard pull on the motor, thats why its almost impossible to get a stock banshee to pull 6th in the sand. Put it on dirt, it should go like hell. odaen
could be off on your jetting a tad too. with your gearing, I'd think you could pull 6th, but it'll be about worthless power wise
biggun6ss
If you aren't jetted right it won't want to pull 6th. My 05 pulls 6th with 9 paddle haulers and 14-39 gearing in the sand with no problem. Our mods are about the same. You might be trying to shift too soon. BigRed350x
I can pull 6th in the sand with mine. I am running 14/40 gearing with 20" Skat II's I can even short shift into 6th and just bog it a little and it will still wind out. I'm ported though. banshee tuner
I could pull sixth with my 20 inch paddles but I had to be wound out in fifth before shifting. The 20's I had were about 2 inches taller than my stock 20's. I had 15-41 gearing with toomey T5's.

Wallrat
Try going up a size on the mains and see if that helps.
Leadfoot350
what is your jetting right now. also are you running taller haulers? Those are not really that good for the banshee.
sheecandy
i think your jetting a little off i ran 330 mains in my 04 with unported cylinders sst pipes dual k&ns and milled head at sea level with 13/40 gearing and 22x11x8 8 paddle haulers no prob pulling all the gears
banshee tuner
I'm running 280 mains at sea level, but west coast guys usually have to run larger jets than us on the east coast.
