K&N baby.

Its easy unless youre retarded, then its only kidna easy...i think i paid b/t $60 and $90 for my kit. It was a long time ago.

Yeah youll get better air flow = better power, but you might not see a noticeable increase if you dont have otehr stuff done too.

make sure you clean that sucker as often as you can.

Just want to make sure you get a kit with the adapter plate that mounts inside the stock air that the filter clamps on to. Something like the pro-flow with a K&N and outerwears. New, it will cost you about $85. You can get a similar kit from pro-flow or twin air with a foam filter for about $70 new.

never had luck using the stock air box and a adapter plate always find dirt in the carbs thats why i like clamp on k&n and outerwares :shrugani:

aww man don't listen to these chumps, a big foam UNI filter is the only way to go. The added airflow aint worth the hassles of a K&N filter. K&N only for street drag racing, show quads and sand-mobiles. If you get dirty when you ride, then you want to go with a UNI or TwinAir foam.

K&N is great, UNI filters more crap out but is more restrictive....

SO it depends what you mean as better.

There is always a trade off..

Nothign wrong with using a K&N and stock airbox...

Hell I Didn't even use the adapter plate, I just modified the stock one (trimmed the supports), Siliconed and bolted it into place to hold the K&N.

Don't take out the adapter plate just unclamp the K&N...

Its a cover for your air filter, like little red undies....it lets air in but keeps water (someitmes) and particles out of you sizznit....
