so whats the story behind these? i know bigwill was getting one, and i thought jinx was getting one also. you all ever get them up and running? and will they be seen in Gilbert on April 15?

arent they duppose to be drag motors? if so most drag bikes need new top-ends and high-maintence often, correct me if im wrong

They might have a short life span, but you had better strap your ass to the bike when you ride one :bolt: They are a single purpose engine and that is about the only thing you can do with them.

i dont see one of those being any faster than a packard or grr motor. if they were fatser, wouldnt people talk about them?

Not all drag motors eat rings or pistons on a regular basis. The guy that developed the Saber motor ran the same piston and rings for over a couple hundred dyno sessions on Alky trying to extract the most out of it. 98HP and 60+ pounds or torque from a large bore single. That same topend is about a year old now.

yeah, there are guys that have 120 rwhp (not crankshaft hp) that drag every weekend for a entire season on the same topend.

I would have to see that to believe it, there is no way to get that much rwhp out of a banshee motor with out making a time bomb out of it.

visit planetsand and just check out the dyno section, they have 14, 16, even 20 mm strokers that have well over 150 rwhp.
