FlatTrackinIt55 Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 supposed to have high hp but short life span 336022 arent they duppose to be drag motors? if so most drag bikes need new top-ends and high-maintence often, correct me if im wrong Quote
Proquad101 Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 supposed to have high hp but short life span 336022 They might have a short life span, but you had better strap your ass to the bike when you ride one They are a single purpose engine and that is about the only thing you can do with them. racer Posted March 10, 2005 Author Report Posted March 10, 2005 i dont see one of those being any faster than a packard or grr motor. if they were fatser, wouldnt people talk about them? Quote
SDD Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 arent they duppose to be drag motors? if so most drag bikes need new top-ends and high-maintence often, correct me if im wrong 336067 Not all drag motors eat rings or pistons on a regular basis. The guy that developed the Saber motor ran the same piston and rings for over a couple hundred dyno sessions on Alky trying to extract the most out of it. 98HP and 60+ pounds or torque from a large bore single. That same topend is about a year old now. Quote
1800bigk Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 yeah, there are guys that have 120 rwhp (not crankshaft hp) that drag every weekend for a entire season on the same topend. Quote
