BRIAN BANSHEE Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 i just got my shee this summer and i want to know from youu guys what my best investments would be? Quote
Duninshee Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 It all depends on what kind of ridding you plan on doing. i.e.: Dune ridding, drag, MX, Trails and so on. Quote
BRIAN BANSHEE Posted February 3, 2005 Author Report Posted February 3, 2005 mostly open roads, city gravel pits and some trail. but the banshee doesn';t have a lot of clearence for trail riding. But bigger rims and tires are so expensive. Quote
fromygod Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 my advice is to ride and se what u really dont like, attack that situation first.like i got my shee about a yeat ago, mostly trail riding i hated the clearance issue. so i bought oversized tires, problem solved. then it wasn't fast enough intake reeds exhaust. i ran my foot over while riding(Cmon, you know u did it at least once) nerf bars, heel guards. Theres endless possibilities, keep making ur shee what u want it to be Quote
BRIAN BANSHEE Posted February 3, 2005 Author Report Posted February 3, 2005 im the kind of person who is fuction over form i dont care what it looks like as long as its faster then the one next to me!!! but im not one to spend an outrageous amount of money. Quote
Blue Duece Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 i want to know from youu guys what my best investments would be? 316590[/snapback] have you tried CD'S or anything in the money market? i know first hand the Yamaha Banshee is a fuckin money pit, but to haul ass, hang on and look good you'll need ten grand Quote
64xracer Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 When I bought my shee it was all stock. I looked around on ebay and bought a set of T5's for $130 and put them on. That was the "Best bang for the buck" for me. Since then I have put about $5000 in it.....and I'm not done yet!!!! Quote
bansheeryder21 Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 If your bike is stock, it can't breathe right now! The first thing I think anyone should do is pipes, K&N, and Jet kit! You will notice a huge difference! Night and Day! Kind of pricey, but if you look around, you can find some used ones for a decent price!!! Quote
dave95.1 Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 get rid of that stock air filter before you do anything. get a proflow adapter if you want to keep the airbox or get clamp on filters. i prefer to keep the airbox because i get into mud and water sometimes. Quote
kw04 Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 just like they said pipes jets and filter. the toomey 2into1 is a good filter setup from what i hear Quote
ssanddemon Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 1.Chop the airbox lid, invest in a better filter system (proflow or similar). I used K&Ns cuz it's sand only for me. Your factory filter WILL suck dirt. 2. Shave the head. It's cheap, easy and gives real gains for very little $$$. You will need to rejet, also cheap. These were the very first things I did, and the bike felt LOTS better for like $150. Quote

05bansh Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 If its completely stock it most likely has a 200 mains, and 25 pilots in it. You shouldnt need to rejet it until you start putting mods on it, exhaust, k&n, etc. Unless its running like sh!t, just check your plugs to be safe. Quote
