FadedDreams Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 (edited) Thats the way to do it if your looking to save some money. If you don't want to mess with it yourself,go here:Temp Gauge There used to be someone on here who made a poly "T" fitting that would work with a temp gauge and it was also a small inline cooler. banshee tuner Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 To me that temp gauge looks like it would vibrate around a lot. There used to be pictures of some better ones on here that were mounted in the fender. Quote
05bansh Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 Well since we are on the topic, does anyone know if the inline water coolers work? Quote

KRMit Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 If you drill a hole and mount the gauge like in the photos it will vibrate some but not bad. I can always tell what temp I'm at within about 5 degrees. Quote
compose2 Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 i have the thermo mod on mine. the problem i have is the vibrations of the motor made the needle move out of alignment. it read 58 degrees when i stuck it in the snow. maybe i just need to find a better quality thermometer. i was using a accu-rite i think Quote
H250RHATER Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 get a 2" autometer gauge its got prfect reading temps its awesome looks good too Quote
98bonerSTOCKshee Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 get a 2" autometer gauge its got prfect reading temps its awesome looks good too 312132[/snapback] I have a 2" autometer manual temp guage it only lastest about 2 months until the needle just quite working. However I noticed autozone now has electronic autometer guage that shouldn't vibrate apart $30 I think. Quote

banshee tuner Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 That warp drive that dunedemon has is the way to go. It looks really sweet maybe someone will post a picture. Quote
NMBANSHEE Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Here's another option thats a little more expesive but nice, or might give you some more ideas, check ot the mechanical gauge (no electronics so it would be great for the SHEE) ((------J&T products------)) Quote
