Dopeman0012 Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 (edited) my buddy and his raptor continously beats me on the pavement. i stay in front until about mid 6th gear then he just blows by me. i have K&N filters, 35mm Keihin carbs, Keihin jets, FMF Fatties, Power Core 2 silencers and run a 14 front sprocket. i 've thought about getting the cpi pipes but other than that, i cant come up with nothing. does any one no how i can get more top end without boring the motor? I'm sure this is absolutely killing your power output. Way too big of carbs for your motor unless you have some major porting. Quote

Might want to do a plug chop and check it to make sure that its where it needs to be. Maybe a 15 tooth front sproket, if the machine can pull it. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck. Quote

Your buddies wont stand much of a chance if you get a good port job. Especially if you race them on pavement. oh I didnt notice that you said you can hang with them until sixth gear, I would just put 15 tooth front sprocket on then try.
