evil Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 my honest opinion on dura blue axles is they suck. i had three of them. wont even put one my wifes warrior for rec riding. get a lonestar, way better and if you bend it they will follow through on their warranty. Quote
spoin39 Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 I agree, I've had the LONESTAR AXCALIBER for several years and did manage to bend it on a nasty crash down a hill. I sent it in and it was back in 7 days like new, no questions asked! Quote
boonman Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 Dura blue sucks. Get a lonestar. 'nuff said Quote
NickyPap Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 I'm really glad I tripped over this topic and read it because I was about to buy a Dura blue axle. I 've wanted to get a wider axle for some time and had been told to go w/ the Lonestar because of the warranty but last sunday on way home from ridin' I stopped for gas and this guy came up to me askin' if I wanted to buy a set of new Dura blue hubs cheap. I got his number because I did'nt know if hubs came w/ the axle or how much better they were than stock hubs. Just wondering if any one has an opinion or tips. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 i thought the company name was duraJUNK. i have one of their axles. their lock nut sucks and their warranty sucks. lonestar all the way. Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 RIS makes a titainium axle for stock to -6 and you can dune with it. I am waiting for them to make wider ones. I think they want around 400-500 and I am going to get the hub to hub with aluminum parts on it. Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 i think its closer to 700-800 Quote

It's not a dura blue though it's a custom axle kinda like the one you can get from ricky stator. I'm also interested as to how these axles are? Quote
Justintoxicated Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I hear teh ricky stator ones are good, but I dunno about these. Over the years I keep hearing durablue sucks though, thats for sure. Quote
