My 6.0 just starting breaking down under hard acceleration. Throwing code for crank sensor. Anybody know about where to start at?

What do you mean "breaking down"?

 

Like cutting out? Or losing power?

 

If it's got a crank sensor code I'd put a crank sensor in it.

Yes cutting out. Are the crank sensors buried? I've already done the ipr and boy that was a pita. Injector is on my list but my trans is my big issue at moment. I'm about 2 hrs from a mechanic and the truck is my daily that I drive to job sites. I just can't make up my mind if I rebuild this trans for the third time in its life locally.

Sounds like you've got a number of issues going on.

 

The tranny issue could be two things from my experience:

 

1) poor tuning (box tunes)

 

2) lack of traction bars
