Ya. I highly doubt an injector is causing that. Most likely the lift pump getting weak or fuel filter needing changed. I'd change the filter and see if it goes away.

My 6.0 just starting breaking down under hard acceleration. Throwing code for crank sensor. Anybody know about where to start at?

Probably needs a crank. Stay away from Wang cranks.

Has it had the injectors replaced?

 

Do you ever run Rev X or Arch Oil additive in the engine oil?

Had 20g within last four years by po. Yes injectors were replaced 20000 miles ago. That being said there's a injector code as well but the run ability is a new issue. I'm also having trans issues as well. All sun coast components.

Put arch oil in when I first bought it. I think I'm going to run schaffers motor oil from now on.

What do you mean "breaking down"?

 

Like cutting out? Or losing power?

 

If it's got a crank sensor code I'd put a crank sensor in it.

Yes cutting out. Are the crank sensors buried? I've already done the ipr and boy that was a pita. Injector is on my list but my trans is my big issue at moment. I'm about 2 hrs from a mechanic and the truck is my daily that I drive to job sites. I just can't make up my mind if I rebuild this trans for the third time in its life locally.

Idk honestly. I think they're down on the front cover near the dampner. Seems like I replaced one down in there once.

 

What's up with the tranny? It should only be on #2 at the most with 212k.

I'm gonna PM you Rick.

 

Sounds like you've got a number of issues going on.

 

The tranny issue could be two things from my experience:

 

1) poor tuning (box tunes)

 

2) lack of traction bars
