Or am I way offI'm pretty sure these guys are talking frame only. A complete chassis, swinger, arms, stem, subframe, can be 7K plus real easy. I was over 8k on my Laeger new. billybobby Posted June 19, 2015 Report Share Posted June 19, 2015 Just a basic Guesstimate Frame 2500-3500 Suspension/components 3000- or a lot more Donor Banshee 1500 (motor,plastics,misc) Motor 2500- the limit of your plastic I think a decent completely fresh build could be done for 8-12k. I'd like to know what they would do as far as part availability. I'm not a fan of LSR parts really What's your issue with LSR? Everything I have had from them has been top notch stuff. The frame rails where the swing arm pivot bolt goes through are about 1/4" more narrow than my two stock R frames. So my brand new swing arm must be machined down to work. Then I'm having stupid issues with the JD front end I bought, the a arms look sick and he has nothing but good reviews but the front right shock doesn't line up with the upper shock mount on the frame and is in a bind if pushed into place. Obviously I will not run it like that. Plus the ball joints are in a bind with the length of shock JD had Motowoz send me. I'm going to try and mount the front end on my stock 250R frames to confirm this is a flaw with the a arms and not some distortion of the outlaw frame, although it doesn't look like there is. Then there are the typical problems like pipe and intake limitations and the way the front plastic mounts, any hood must be trimmed to fit over the upper shock mounts. It would be profoundly better if they would build one using any one of the newer 450 suspension components. I feel like it couldn't be that difficult for a professional company to offer this, I think the big doubt is the investment of time will not pay off in this niche market. They already sell a yfz450 chassis (http://www.lsracing.com/yamaha-yfz450-chromoly-chassis-yamaha-yfz450.250.11.atv-utv-racing) and trx450r chassis (http://www.lsracing.com/honda-trx450r-trx450er-racing-chassis-honda-trx450.264.5.atv-utv-racing) . They also already sell a banshee chassis (http://www.lsracing.com/yamaha-banshee-350-racing-chassis-yamaha-banshee.3.8.atv-utv-racing). They could easily combine the 2 to make a chassis quickly. They also have a-arms and swingarm specs for every race quad. They could take the banshee chassis they have and make a custom chassis that uses suspension based off any 450. The issue is, what person with a banshee really want to pay $2500 for a frame, then another $2000 for suspension parts, and $1500 for shocks? Guys spend money like that and more on here everyday to build something that goes fast in a straight line. This would actually be functional. billybobby Posted June 19, 2015 Report Share Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Spoke with Bobby this morning again... 5700.00 for 3-4 outlaw frames with A arms, swingarm and stem. Trick2stroke is running into why this needs to be 450 based or not an option. The current outlaw uses 250R geo but the components are NOT 250R. That doesn't leave us options outside of LSR if you break parts and need quick parts they won't be an off the shelf part. It's a Trx or yfz based frame or bust for me and my two buddies. Give me a solid Yes or No on 5700.00. I would like to go back to LSR and say 10 guys are in if we can make these changes yfz or trx 450r A arms, swing arm, more room for pipes and filters/airbox.
