. Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 A couple of sites I go to they have a "thing" of the month for what website it is. I think it would be great for this website. When the rest of the site gets up and running they could be on the front page. Or also depending on how much time it takes Ben to make the calendar of the month, we could have it so the first week of the month people put in their banshees that they want to have voted on, have someone or a moderator choose 5 or 6 out of that at the end of the week (dont know how many choices you can run for a poll), and then run a poll until the time that ben needs to be able to make the calendar. I'm on a s-10 forum and you'd be surprised how many sweet ass s-10's come out of the woodwork for s of the month. I've seen some v-8's that never post anything that are wicked hooked up. So what do the rest of you think? Any other imput on how to run it or ideas? Just something I thought I'd kick around, I know the forum is knew and we really dont have a "show me your quads thread" like the last forum going yet, and it'd be a good way to show off everyones shee's. BenBB Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 I think it's a great idea, another thing I saw somewhere else was a "random pic" generator...of course I think both of these are based on uploaded pics into a gallery, what would be really cool would be if it could use the pics in the Images forum instead. I think there's alot more & better pics in the forum (either because it's easier to use, you can upload or just link elsewhere, or doesn't require Lee to resize/thumbnail/add to the gallery). It takes me about a day to make a wallpaper, at work depending on the other shit I gotta do (so like a few hours for tha 1280x1024), and another day to make the other sizes, thumbnails, change the wallpaper html, and upload 'em. That's assuming I got good quality pics and have a good babe image to go with it... The poll would be great I think for the next month's wallpaper. BTW Lee, I dunno if anyone else has the same problem, but I'm at my upload limit at like 200K, even though it sez I can go up to 3MB...won't let me upload anything else without deleting something. Is it just me? Quote

I think doing like a member of the month would be good. Kinda like a nomination based on what member may have done something good for the site, or helped alot of people out, something of that nature. Alot of people on here deserve credit for helping someone else out. Quote
