trickedcarbine Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 Man, that Ohton reply prompted me to check out Planet Sand just out of curiosity. Place is dead. It's practically a classifieds page now and that's it. Makes me wonder why there are even sponsors on that page? It would be nice to get any of their last gold outs to come over here. (Millennium, Titan, CP ind.) Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 Sooner or later you will see those companies here or PSDA. Obviously BansheeHQ is bigger than both and appeals to riders of all types, making it the more logical choice. These companies will run out of options for advertising at some point. Quote
m671054 Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 The nice part about ps was you could get real deep tech info on there. multiple builders discussing highly technical issues. here you really need to pick and choose what info is fact and fiction. this site is more entertaining thats for sure. but i bet 50% of the members cant do a complete engine assembly. (i just mean stock assemble not custom build) Quote

Millennium, do they even really need to advertise. As for PSDA, they really don't fall far from Charlie. They're an improvement, but not by much. Not much technical goes on there & if you don't agree with the right few people. It's met with the same Nazi mentality PS was known for. As for HQ, bigger doesn't always mean better. As for the technical side of sites. PS was the place & now there's no replacement that I have found. I have landed or made home in the HQ lately. I think I had like 600 post from 2006 until 2012. That doubled in the past year, be it good or bad. The reason it did was because of the other sites failing & PSDA not being much different than PS & with no technical discussion. Remember it's my opinion, not that it really matters. Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 Remember it's my opinion, not that it really matters. Your opinion matters. You're right about CP. I've already been told that my small affiliation with PSDA would keep CP away from BansheeHQ. Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 16, 2013 Report Posted June 16, 2013 STY, I got to thinking.. You said that PS was full of technical threads and information.. I didn't frequent there and don't have any idea what the threads are about, but could it be possible that the high performance Banshee industry has slowed down on tech gains? I mean, there haven't been any new cylinders released for a while now, at least not from CP. With so many builders across the country having a dyno or access to one, is it possible that advances in Banshee tech have nearly come to a halt? Again, not a builder, but surely there are only so many possible combinations for these current motors. For example, the 4mm Serval has been out a while now and nearly every builder has built or tested them. They're getting 85+ on pump gas and 90+ on race gas. Is it possible they hit a wall with them? Just thinking out loud.. Quote
