hi there

i have a 2002 banshee which is standard. i recently put an idler kit on my carbs, it now will not run. i have checked the compresson on both sides and both read good. Both sparks are sparking well, as they are new spark plugs. i have fuel to both carbs and is fresh fuel. i have also removed the carbs, taking the pilot jet, main jet and needle valve out and cleaning with a ultra sonic bath. Now the problem is that it will not run unless fuel is poured straight into the cylinder, even with this it will only run on the left side with the choke on, once choke is off quad stalls.

any suggestions will be greatly appricated as it is getting very annoying

tried that. wont start with any ammount of throttle. putting fuel in the left cylinder and with the choke on is the only way it starts. once running if when the choke is turned off it dies. but it is only running off the left side.

iv stripped the carbs down again and cleaned everything again but still will not start

slides in correctly and moving freely, floats adjusted correctly,

what little hose? the fuel line?

could be full of shaving but i would of thought after 2 good cleans they would be clear? fuel is deffentaly in the bowl of the carb

Sounds like the choke crossover tube to me too. I forgot to hook mine back up the first time I cleaned my carbs and it did the same thing

its a vacuum tube that connects the two stock cars and allows the right carb to be "choked".  Without it the bike is SO lean that it will not even start as the carb is sucking in air there also.
