Gutted CPI silencers

I have a set of CPI with stock silencers on my bike. Bike has a 4 mill and runs really strong. My question is, will gutting the cpi silencers affect my performance? I had another banshee before with gutted silencers and it sounded great... Anybody noticed a difference?

i can assure you that if you gut the cpi silencer it will sound like compete dog shit!! it probably will also hurt the performace of the pipe as well

take the silencers off and make some tubes. it will be so anoying ly loud you are for sure going to piss people off..

 

you could repack them kinda loose and they may have a deeper sound

This topic confuses me. Why do people buy in frame pipes, and choose to not run silencers? They are so fuckin' obnoxiously loud, and sound like complete shit. Apparently the old adage of the yesteryears still exists. Loud = Fast

It WILL take power off your bike. Plus, it sounds great with re-packed silencers. I just did my CPI's and it sounds great. I had forgotten how good the sound was.

Yes it will cost you performance because the gutted can will not have a smooth flow. There will be turbulence which will restrict the flow of exhaust gases.
