Was looking into selling my Banshee and was shocked at just how low complete bikes are going for. I live in the Reno Nevada area and was wondering if you guys could tell me if I would have better luck parting it or selling it.

1990 YAMAHA BANSHEE J Arm second owner very low hour bike.

Bike was built by Curtis Sparks racing. Mild port and polish. Bike was dynoed in Reno at 59 HP and 39 LBS Torque.

Stock crank.

Trinity 2 in 1 intake setup. One trip on brand new CV 35mm Keihin single Carb setup.

One trip on brand new VFORCE 3 reeds

Bike also has a Trinity Stage IV cool head, not sure of the dome size but the head domes are interchangeable, but the bike is setup currently to RUN ON 110 OCTANE FUEL.

Good compression, only 1 to 2 lbs of difference in cylinders

The bike also now has one trip on brand new Toomey T5 pipes and silencers.

Thanks in advance for the help guys.

really depends on how much you think its worth 5000 yea aint happening... if you JUST put pon the pipes and the reeds and the cv carb you just droped quite a bit on it ( i'm guessing 1000 bucks)

so i guess you need to figure out what its worth parts wise and no not what the parts are worth not what your asking but what they will SELL for if you part the bike you will end up with a big pile of extra parts j-frames are not worth shit. ( which sucks)

i'm guessing you would get about 1000 out of it really quick ( pipes, reeds, paddles, shocks, carbs, plastic, seat, some other piddly parts. ) + fee's if you use ebay, + shipping and the hassel of shipping the parts i personally have been really enjoying craigslist. might get about 2000 out of the whole bike.. so its your decesion i like craigs list cause the buyers are usually local they can see the parts right there in their hands and decided right there and then if they want them no paypal disputes no stupid i didnt get my parts scams no hey these arent shelf brand new bullshit.
