Jaystre Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 i have a o1 shee and was wondering if it ever gets to warm to ride like 30 degrees celcius ambient air temp . can it hurt my engine or just rejet ? Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Don't be a pussy, it's never too hot to ride! What is that in fahrenheit? Quote
locogato11283 Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 no, that is not too hot to ride. it is important to watch your coolant level though and make sure it doesnt start spitting it out. if it does, that means the motor is getting hot and you should let it cool off for a while. higher temps mean lower jet sizes. #1JUANstunna Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 If it does start spitting coolant, don't shut if off. Let it sit and idle so it continues to pump the coolant thru your motor for a bit. Then shut it down to cool off. Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 BTW Welcome Jaystre! just noticed that was your first post. Enjoy! Quote

pr0blumz Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 (edited) Don't be a pussy, it's never too hot to ride! What is that in fahrenheit? 86 degress F. It should be fine. That's nowhere near too hot to ride. Edited May 21, 2010 by pr0blumz Quote
camatv Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 i pretty much call it to hot to ride when i down 5 powerade's after riding for 15 minutes and my shirt is stuck to me and i smell like a wendy's bathroom after sandfest.. also when the heat off the sand melts your shoe's and your nuts are so greassy you cannot even stay on the seat. thats a lil on the hot side of things... This is a dumb question, I live in what my profile says, But somthing I don't get, There is a reserve coolant bottle attached to your airbox and a hose that just lets coolant spit out all over when its hot, I started to get annoyed by it dripping on my exhaust so I put a knot in that hose and now the over pressure coolant instead of being wasted goes to the reserve coolant bottle just like cars, What the fuck is the point of that hose that waste coolant like that? I'd rather it back flow into the reserve bottle instead of dripping and steaming on my exhaust where I get to breath in them nice toxic sweet vapors. Quote
vbanshee Posted June 1, 2010 Report Posted June 1, 2010 ive race in 100 degree weather and have ridden the dunes at glamis in 103 degree weather my bike still runs Quote
