what is considered running hot on a banshee? according to my gauge, mine was running 220 the other day. i shut it down because that seemed pretty high.

anything over 190 got to be carefull. 200 shut it down

From what Ive read around here, 210-220 its time to shut down.

Im sure there are many opinions on this though.

DO NOT TRY that crap with the thermometer! Eventually the pressure from the coolant will blow the thermometer out. I know this from experience! I tried using multiple clamps and still could not get the thing to stay in. Just buy a Mr. Gasket Cap, only 20 bucks or so and you can pick them up at NAPA. Works great and cheaper than buying one of those inline setups.

Yup I got me a Mr. Gasket cap and it works excellent my bike stay around 170-185 degrees allday.
