Snopczynski Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 Just so people know. The gauges need to be mounted in the radiator return line. Thats the line from the head to the radiator. Quote

Yeah, those pics are from last year. I had the stupid useless cooler in there already so i didn't have much room to put it in the upper line close as i wanted to the head at that time. So i said screw it and put it in the lower as i wanted to try it out right away when i got the first one. Then replaced the much needed old ratted lines and it's in the upper now. Quote
06specialedition Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Yeah thats a nice one Savage. How accurate are the radiator cap gauges? What safe engine temp range should a shee be at? Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 the radiator gauge is pretty accurate since its located in the warmest part of the radiator. Usually you should run 170-180. You shut it down or get worried at 210. Quote
06specialedition Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Okay cool thats good to know. I've been wanting to buy one just wasn't sure how well they work. I like the one Savage has but I bet those are pricy. Quote
pabansheematt Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Those carbon fiber fullbores are sick. Were can I get a set? Quote
