shee4speed
When is it time to replace that chain? Mine has a couple tight spots. How long do they last? It's not all stretched yet.
locogato11283
id say if youre questioning it, then go ahead and do it.. how old are your chain and sprockets?
shee4speed
the only reason I am questioning it is because of the couple of kining links. The whole setup is factory and its an 05. The sprockets dont look worn at all.
05.Banshee.SE
I replaced mine on my 05...but of course I put a number of hours on it, and did a lot of wheelies and shit.
CBAIER1206
I've had really good luck with the factory chains and believe them to be pretty durable...I have 2 2004 banshees and one still has the original chain and the other I just swapped out only because I went to a +4 swinger, it's all in the maintenence! dragbanshee
If you dont think its bad and other than a few stiff spots, I would oil the thing down real good, or soak it in oil and see if that helps. If you haven't allready.

250Rho
i tend to stretch chains and ruin sprokets alot thats probly because all my swinger bearings are shot, but id checkem if you think you got tight spots,,axle could be tweaked etc.

I think that fricken chain lube just gums the hell out of everything. I WD-40'd the crap out of it and we'll see.

I usually just oil it down real good with some type of motor oil and wipe the excess off, works as good as anything.
