i always thought that the 100% modified shees arent shees, mainly when the bottom and top end are changed, getting a new motor and cylinders to me, its not a shee, unless its a big bore kit, once you change the motor ( bottom end) its not a shee, changing pipe, carb, air filter, even frame.. and looks, somewhat.

the most important thing is the stock motor. and the cylinders, porting it, boring/ honing is fine... as long as it was once stock, completely replacing is where its not a shee anymore IMO.

as long as it has the motor and frame from a banshee then its a banshee. to me it doesnt matter if you strech the frame or modify the motor./

ok, you asked for it. this is something that has always bugged me. fully modded drag bikes. to be a banshee, it must have a banshe twin that you can play with. it needs front suspension, and body plastics. i've seen alot of roll cages with a seat, tank pizza cutters, and a twin, and otherwise restricted to a strait line and trailers. that's like callin a 2500hp alky funny car a muscle car. although nice, it's no longer close to what it was. mod it, and ride it

You, my friend, don't like going fast then. Sounds like you need a thumper. :whistling:

Twin 2 stroke and stock based frame but the square rad plastic is very important! lol I think the rad plastic make a shee looks like a shee! :P

don't get me wrong, i love to go fast, and no stranger to dirt track and street racing but i also like to play. all i'm sayin is that the shee is a yfz, and replacing the frame with something else, is in the same boat as putting a shee motor in a raptor, or r6- no longer a shee

for exaple, i don't refer to my lowridder as a truck, and when i'm done converting it, i will call it my drifter

Some interesting responses, I got to thinking the other day..Their is nothing left on my bike that hasn't been modded or replaced from its original state... except for the rear brake caliper.. lol

If you put a corvette motor into a dune buggy... is it still a Corvette?

To what extent of motor mods is the motor still banshee based? Does it need to retain the stock cases? can cases be modified?

in my opinion.. it needs to retain the stock chassis, cases and use banshee based pistons to called a true banshee..

yeah..... i'm sure there is a loop hole somewhere in there but.... what can you do?

2x on the bottom end if u still have a banshee bottom end and a banshee frame(even if its a mod/stretched) its still a banshee..... but i would still want the square front
