KaosBanshee44 Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Which lever is the most common i think i'm gonna try one on the new drag bike. There are a few different types on the website is there a certain one that works best? Don't need this or that.......etc. I don't need one for trail riding etc. Just a nice looking lever that works i don't plan on flipping my drag bike but if i do i won't be worried about a lever...lol Quote
yfzdunejumper Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 I think the one I have used on a few quads is a the "3" model. I think it is called f3 but im not sure on that. As long as its for a yamaha quad (assumeing you have a shee) it will work. Look on ebay search for asv refurb. They have the same warrenty as new and look just as good direct from asv at half the price. Quote
shanYE west Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 Definately get the refurbs off ebay! I only spent 16.00 shipped or somthing like that for mine! Quote
dragbanshee Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 The box said it was a c5 sport bike shorty Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 i just got a msr easy pull for mine. havent put it on yet but a buddy of mine has one and its slick as fuck. i can pull that thing in with one finger. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 ASV refubs off of ebay! F3s are the ones I have, they are full size. I think c5s are shortys. Either way, they have a nice wide surface area that makes them comfortable, and easier to pull. Quote

okbeast Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 I hated the ASV when I put it on my bike. Didn't seem to adjust right or pull right and the clutch didn't act like it wanted to disengage completely. Put one of the cheapo's from Jeff on there and it cleared it up. Could have just been me but a buddy of mine had the same problems and sold his right away too. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 I was going to mention that Loco! I've tried both and that MSR Raptor Shorty is the way to go. Three adjustments & it's a smoother pull over the ASV! Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 I got both the Brake ad Clutch F3 Shortys in red and i like them alot  Quote
Bansh-eman Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 I am assuming you are removing your front brakes right? if not and you want to get the ASV for the brakes, send them a message so you get the right model, I won a lever that said it was for a Banshee and it didnt fit because it was a differant model. They cleared it up but it was just a little bit of a hassle that could have been taken care of in the listing. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted December 20, 2008 Author Report Posted December 20, 2008 I've heard some pretty good things about the MSR levers too. I'm getting rid of my front brakes Greg i should be scooping up a nice set of spindle mounts here soon when i get time off. Quote
Yaxy Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 I am in the market for a new clutch perch assembly and took an interest to this post. After looking through the latest Rocky Mountain catalog I was looking at the MSR Pro-Raptor clutch assy as mentioned above do to its simplicity and adjustment factors. However, the catalog says for "motorcycle use" only which makes no sense to me. Does anyone know the rational for stating that the assy is for mortorcycles only? Thanks Chris Quote
