i been saying i have a 421 cheetah cub but today i looked at another 421 cheetah cub and noticed some differences. my cylinder has power valves and his didnt and my cylinder has 6 bolts for the intake and his has 4. could what i have be a 421cheetah instead of a cheetah cub? if so i see on trinityracing where i can make a 485 with a 4mil and 443 with a cheetah cub. just wanted to ask a question before i get to excited bout building a 485 hahaha. would i still have to buy another cylinder or could this 1 be bored or sleeved that big? anyway just ideas floating around in my head. really got my mind on that 10mil

i believe the 485 is a 4mill crank and a 72 or 73mm bore which means youd have to bore the cyls, get new sleeves, and bore the case. how do you like the cheetah? a 485 cheetah is what i want to build but itll take alot of money and it wont happen soon.

If you have power valves, its definitely a cheetah. They make a 72, 73, and 74 bore i believe, they're may be more. You could take your head off and see what size pistons are in it. A 72 bore on a 4mil would be a 472, 73 i believe would be a 485 and so on and so forth. So be excited.... The cheetah cylinders do not have sleeves, they are nikasiled and last a lot longer than sleeves.

haha, how the hell did you not know what cylinders you have??

well i bought the bike this way. dont know a whole lot bout banshee's thats why im always on here asking questions. the guy i bout it from said it was a 421 cheetah cub. i can see 68 stamped on the domes and 19.5. pretty sure the 68 is the cylinder size. 1 more dumb question, can this cylinder be sleeved or bored to a 72 mm or should i just be happy with what i got

you can sleeve it but I would leave it go. Im not sure if you can bore it that much and then nikisil it. I think the most you would want to go is 69mm if you can even bore it that much.

Your really not going to gain much from 68mm to 72 or 73 plus then you would have to have your cases bored

Yes you have a CHEETAH Powervalve motor...I have one as well and love it. The Cheetahs and cubs start at 68mm as far as the bore goes. The cheetah PV cylinders are not sleeved they are nikasil'd. I'm not sure how big of a bore you can go without having to do other work to the cases. I've ridden I cub since I bought my PV and I will stick with the PV motor. The cub didn't seem to have a lot of low end compared to my PV. I'm not if it was just the bike and the way it was set up but I didn't really seem to impressed with it...Now when I opened her up it was fun as hell...

Can't make an honest comment on just one ride on one cub set up because I know there are some cubs that will put my PV motor to shame.....but I do love my cheetah powervalve for the low end torque for the dune riding.....

I am gonna be building a drag motor nothing insane but some i need to know what the power valves are and if the are worth getting.
