  1. I seriously think thats the only tricks left. Maybe somehow set up a golf tee on the handle bars, and at the apex of the jump pull out a 9 iron and whack the ball into the stands or something.
  2. I heard that shit can get nasty. Hope it makes it through it fine.
  3. I watched as often as I could and I don't remember even seeing a 360 this year. The back flips were getting old, but its kind of nice how they throw a superman-seat-grab-to double can can in the middle of a back flip. I think the next BIG moto-x trick is to either just blow themselves up as they launch, or strap rockets to their bikes and fly out of the stadium.
  4. I run Tags, don't have any for sale, but I got a new billet 1 1/8" bar to 7/8" stock stem clamp.
  5. Front or rear cover? I got new in stock.
  6. Or sit outside and sweat your guts out.
  7. I have a buddy that found out from a friend of his about the contructive intent involving things that tend to make a loud thing not so loud. My buddy said his loud thing wasn't as loud after that, but he didn't want to end up in prison so he had to toss the "fender washers" he had made by someone into the garbage. Apparently the intent (possesing the parts to assemble something) carries a fine and sentence equal to being caught in the act of using it....what ever it was he was using. So I guess I have the intent to assemble a 20mm rifle. I have a dummy round (that I'm sure could be filled) and 2 barrels. I could make a firing pin in about 30 seconds. I guess I also have the intent to build just about anything being I have a rack full of steel, a rack full of aluminum, and the machinery and knowledge to do so.
  8. What the fuck? You mean to say... If I have a semi auto rifle I can't have one where the magazine comes OUT? Can you own a fuckin musket loader or a Derringer in California? What if you drew a simple line drawing of a gun but you left the clip out of it, drawn seperately on another piece of paper?
  9. Thats fuckin amazing!!! There is a shop here that does it, but after a buddy of mine did the engine in his drag car....I don't know if I can afford it from that shop.
  10. Same here. Its like the shift shaft can move in and out, and gets jammed some how. I have to take my clutch cover off, and push as I turn to get it back in. I'm thinking about making a bushing or something to keep it there. The cool thing is when mine does it, I only have 2nd and 3rd, but I don't need to use the clutch and it just SLAMS into the next gear. I wish it shifted like that all the time, except with all the gears.
  11. I'm wondering if you could do a search for someone with their FFL in your area and ask them directly. They SHOULD know what is legal or at least obtainable in your state---if anything. They are the ones that have to receive weapons that have a restriction, that are transferred from one owner to another. Basically they are a middle man that makes sure everything is "legal" or some shit like that. My father in law has his FFL, but its for Utah. I know I can own a .223 thats been converted to a .50 Beowulf round.
  12. If I went to my nearest Grey Hound station I'd have to get a tetnis shot, wear a surgical mask over my face and then cover my whole body in Lysol when I got out. If I went in with $40 in my pocket I'd probably barely come out with my shoes still on.
  13. I got mine through K&K ATV in Mass, and they wrapped all the sharp edges and mounts that poke out with newspaper and box tape. Then they put a tag on it and shipped it via UPS. I'd call your local UPS store and ax them. As long as it isn't over 150lbs they'll take it I'm sure. You just cant have anything dangerous that might hurt the driver or anyone moving the frame.
  14. Cool. I'll find a good machine shop that can take ...... I got a 50 ton air over hydraulic press. I was wondering if thats all that holds them together. And yes...looking at it...How in the fuck do they get them back together and running out without keyways? There what? 5-6 total pieces? Each end can be billet, the middle has to have the counter weights pressed on from what I can see. So thats a total of (not including the journal pins) 5 pieces. I know I could make one with captured keyways. That would make lining it up a breeze. We do shit like that for various food processing plants around here. I'll have to take a look at it as soon as I get sick of working on my drag bike.
  15. I was behind a YZ250 that tossed a chain due to an over looked adjusting bolt. It did exactly that. Ripped the shifter off of the shift shaft right after it bent the shift shaft to 90 degrees. Had to use a 3" cut off to get started on getting it out of there. Fortunatly it didn't wad up under the cases. Had very little damage there for some reason.
  16. Thats how much the rear Marvin Comp with a coil over weighs. Not too bad.
  17. I guess thats fine and all, but what if you happen to have left hand nuts that need torquing?
  18. I've seen that done with Marvin Comps, except they were side by side. I thought about going that route on mine so I could have lower pressures in each shock since I'm going no link, but after talking with the guys at Marvin Shaw, they suggested going a single Comp with a coilover. How much does each one of those shocks weigh that you have there?
  19. What kind of plastic is it? Stock?
  20. This might sound werid, but I personally never use high pressure near my carbs or intakes or much of anywhere on my bike. I soak it with a little Simple Green or Windex, or use the low pressure setting at the car wash (don't use the lever on the handle..just let the shit come out) and either use a wash cloth to get some of the areas I can reach, or use a Q-Tip for the smaller areas. Sometimes I'll use a common screwdriver with a paper towel folded over the end to get into really tight areas. Seals don't like high pressure water, so be careful!
  21. I saw a set at my powdercoaters on thursday that turned out beautiful! Gloss black, and they did a magnificent job on masking too. I was really really impressed at how much care they took on those case halves.
  22. I got a twisted crank sitting at the shop, and I've wanted to seperate it for 2 years now just to see how its built and put together. Anyone have any idea where to start on it?? I can build tooling if thats what it takes. I really don't want to take it to a shop to have them seperate a junk crank for no particular reason. And, I don't want to demolish it by heating it or sticking it in the press if thats not whats called for.
  23. LOL I switched out to billet pegs. Try filling your tires with helium.
  24. LOL You've been out in the drive way taking a tire off, putting it back on and timing yourself haven't you..... BVVVVVVVVVVVv BVVVVVVVVVVVVVVv BVVVVVVVVV BVVVVVVVVVVVVV BVVVVVVVVvvvvvv
