Depends on what builder you have port it. Sounds like you got a good impact. We still use one my dad has had for about 30 yeras now. I can't even remember the name. It might be an Ingersol or something. Its old...heavy....and noisy as fuck.

It must have also been crap material. .065 chromoly is good for a drag swingarm, and I use .085 4130 for every swingarm I make. Super strong material, 3x the strength of mild steel, plus its DOM not electrical-welded seamed tubing which is really good for handrails and mail box posts.

He had the blue set up on eBay. Didn't need the rears, and didn't have the money to buy both.... Not too many people have just fronts for sale I'm finding out. I may just have to save up the change I find in WalMarts parking lot and buy a new front piece from Fullbore......

HAHA Fuck no!!! My nephew discovered the LS swingarm....Hell mine chromed are 2/3's that price. And when I did need sprocket nuts, after I found out how much they wanted per nut, and the 5 dollars per nut retainer...I just went and bought 100 nyloc nuts. Saved me about 20 bucks.

If I had the cash to bid on it I would. I think right now I got enough to buy a set of fronts....I think.... In about 2 weeks I'll have enough to buy a full set, but I'm sure that auction will be done before then.

Everything from the dealer is going to be expensive. I was at a dealer here and they are asking over $900 for a LS swingarm. They want 4 dollars EACH for sprocket nuts. They are out of their fucking minds.

The IRS thing is kinda cool. I've thought about how to make an ATV IRS, but there's alot to it, plus the added weight etc.... Might make for a nice trail bike, but I dunno. I don't ride trails. I don't think it would work for the type of riding I like. And from the front it reminds me of Skeletor from the old He Man cartoon. Or maybe Zorak from Space Ghost. Paint that fucker green and its Zorak.

LOL I've heard them called "Dura-Bend" Reminds me of Tommy Boy: I can take a dump in a box and tell you its a guaranteed piece of shit..... or something to that effect. No personal experience, just ALOT of people have told me theirs.

I'm going to be looking for some Fullbore fronts (don't need rear) here soon, and I would really like the darker blue they used to have. But if they are in good clean, paintable condition without any work needed I'll consider it. I checked eBay and found nothing, but if you have a link to an auction, or a picture of some you need to unload, put it up. thx

On the carriers I make, I build them to accept what ever the stock Yamaha carrier will accept. The housing is "round" not neccesarily "Honda".

I rode that bike and it hauls ass. Even though I was apparently "short shifting it" I'd get back and Rodney would tell me to let it wind out. Apparently that thing just keeps pulling and pulling and pulling. He was keeping up and beating alot of the bikes @ Dumont even with his -2 swingarm.

Art comes in many forms Brooke, if I had a frame suitable for mounting a lap top, I'd do it and hang it over the kitchen sink next to my framed picture of Sammy Davis Jr., so I could admire it every time I do the dishes. You should go into business doing things like graphics for websites n stuff.
